Hello,

I showcase the copyright image to emphasize that women possess a distinct, original identity rooted in a unique biological category. This distinction grants women exclusive rights to their bodily autonomy, allowing them to make choices about their own bodies without external interference. Additionally, it highlights the importance of women's language and expression, which are fundamental to their identity and self-determination.

When I posted these four words in 2020 on Facebook, “Only women give birth,” my life changed.

For decades, my singular focus as a midwife was advocating for the rights of women and families during pregnancy and childbirth. I was committed to upholding and respecting these rights. However, I soon encountered a new form of female oppression that completely overshadowed the rights of women and families in their childbearing years. Trans ideology emerged as a prominent issue, and I found myself facing intense backlash and even threats for simply stating the truth: "Only women give birth."

While thousands of women and families will celebrate my commitment to women-centered language, many of my friends and colleagues would prefer that I remain silent about my views. But I will not be unseen or unheard. On my gender-critical journey, I have discovered my voice and resilience.

I will no longer remain silent.

Thank you.
